Paintings

Raul’s paintings are inspired by the indigenous traditions of Latin American societies prior to the arrival of the Europeans. At the heart of these traditions we find the figure of the Shaman, a priest, a healer, a mystic and an interpreter of nature.

If we take a closer look at his work, we discover the magic of primitive or cave painting. Therefore, it’s not surprising to realize that Raul’s work expresses the relationship of man to the hidden spiritual forces that give life to nature. In his perspective, nature and its components – mineral, vegetal and human – are presented as an inseparable whole.

Raul’s works have been presented in many exhibition galleries in the U.S.A., France, Japan, Korea and in most Latin American countries and some of his paintings have been sold at auction in Sotheby’s, New York.
